Cream together 1/2 pound butter and 1 cup sugar.
Add yolk of 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla, and 3-4 shakes
of cinnamon.
Add 2 cups flour gradually and mix well.
Spread mixture onto an ungreased cookie sheet by
hand.
Beat egg white stiff and spread over mixture.
Sprinkle dough with chopped or slivered almonds.
Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes.
Cut into squares.
